the premise

Every cycle has four states.

There is no fifth. You are somewhere on this loop right now. Drive it.

Pepe: It's over

state 1 / 4

It's over.

He sells the bottom. He deletes the app. He tells no one.

A small Pepe holding a sword, alone, facing a charging cavalry.

the odds

One frog.
The whole market.

He stood here last cycle too. He doesn't remember losing. He remembers leaving.

A red price chart plunging into a city on fire, with Pepe in the corner watching.

last cycle · post-mortem

The chart went to zero. The sword didn't.

Everything with a price found its price. The only thing he carried out was the one thing he couldn't sell. He strapped it to his back and walked.

A lone swordsman seen from behind, a greatsword on his back, walking through a burned city at night.

the long walk

Nobody saw him leave.

Everybody sees him come back. No announcement, no roadmap. A silhouette on the horizon and the thing on his back.

the technology

The comeback is denominated in dollars.

Circle built Arc for BlackRock, Visa and the DTCC: sub-second deterministic finality, EIP-1559 fees in USDC, view-key privacy for institutions. A settlement layer for the world's money.

We are going to use it to buy a frog.

how to come back

Three steps. No fourth.

  1. Add Arc to your wallet

Any EVM wallet. Chain id 5042, RPC https://rpc.mainnet.arc.io. The native currency is USDC. Your wallet may call it ETH; it is not ETH.

  2. Get USDC on Arc

Bridge USDC in with Circle's CCTP (Arc is domain 26) or withdraw from an exchange that supports Arc. You need a little for gas and however much you intend to lose.

I told you so.

You will read this again next cycle. He will still be here. The sword will still be on his back.
